Is HydroStain Lips™ Painful?

HydroStain Lips™ is a pain-free treatment, and some people experience only minimal discomfort during the procedure. However, the level of discomfort can vary from person to person, and some people may experience slight swelling or redness after the treatment.  In some cases, an over the counter topical anesthetic is applied for 5 minutes.  The treatment is superficial, and does not penetrate the dermis.

How Often Do I Need Touch-Up Appointments For HydroStain Lips™?

The frequency of touch-up appointments will depend on the individual and the specific metabolism of the client. On average, clients need to refresh the treatment every 2-3 weeks to maintain the desired results.  The results are cumulative, so we recommend a package of 3 for longer lasting results.

Can HydroStain Lips™ Be Combined With Other Cosmetic Treatments?

Yes, HydroStain Lips™ can be combined with other cosmetic treatments, such as lip injections, to enhance the results. It is important that you allow 2 weeks post lip injections to perform HydroStain Lips™.  In most cases, there is no need for lip injections with regular HydroStain Lips™ treatments.  If a client has previous lip filler, HydroStain Lips™ will enhance the results.

Are There Any Side Effects Of HydroStain Lips™?

HydroStain Lips™ is considered to be a safe and effective treatment, and most people do not experience any significant side effects. However, as with any cosmetic procedure, there is a risk of adverse reactions, such as skin irritation or an allergic reaction.  Allergic reactions are extremely rare as we use high quality pigments and inks.
